View authentication authorities

Users gain access to a storage system or component either directly through a role assignment and indirectly through membership in a user group that has a role assignment.

Steps

  1. Select to open the Settings panel.
  2. Select Users and Groups > Authentication .

    Use the Authentication page to view and manage authentication settings.

    The following properties display:

    Authentication

    The following authentication types are displayed:
    • Local Directory—When enabled, users can log in as a user from the CST local directory.
    • Windows OS/AD—When enabled, users can log in as a user from the Windows local host or from the Active Directory domain. This property only displays for Windows installations.
    • LDAP-SSL—When enabled, users can log in as a user from the configured LDAP directory.
    • RSA SecurID—When enabled, the RSA token must be entered into the password field immediately followed by the user's password.
    For ach authentication type, the following is displayed:
    • Status—Status of authentication (enabled or disabled).
    • Limited Authentication Group(s)—Limited Authentication Group names.
